Engaging Local Families

Engaging Local Families

There are many ways to engage local families and build playgroup attendance:

  • Promote Play Steps in the school newsletter
  • Talk about the program at school assemblies (attended by families)
  • Include information about Play Steps in the homework folders of students who have siblings not yet at school
  • Deliver a presentation about the program at the next P&C meeting
  • Display the Play Steps’ brochure (available in the digital toolkit) in your school reception
  • Facilitate a Play Steps’ information stand at your next school event (i.e. open day, fete etc.)

For more ideas on how to engage and encourage families to join your Play Steps Playgroup, go to the Training section of this website (i.e. Course 1: Facilitating a Play Steps Playgroup).
